My son, do not despise Jehovah's discipline or be weary of his correction. For whom Jehovah loves He reproves, just like a father corrects the son he loves dearly. (Hebrews 12:6)

You say, I am rich and have become wealthy and have need of nothing." You do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. I counsel you to buy gold from me, gold purified by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be clothed. In this way the shame of your nakedness will not appear. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see. I reprove and discipline those whom I love: be zealous therefore, and repent.
