And to the angel of the church in Sardis write; The one having the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars, says these things; I know your works, that you have a name that you are living, and are dead. Be you watchful, and strengthen the remaining things, which are about to die. For I have not found your works perfect before my God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If you do not watch, I will come as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come upon you. read more.
But you have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: because they are worthy. The one conquering shall thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not blot out his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and in the presence of his angels.
