For as the Father hath life in Himself, so also He has given to His Son to have life also in Himself. And He hath given Him authority to execute the judgment, because He is the Son of man. Do not be astonished at this: because the hour cometh, in which all who are in their graves will hear His voice, and come forth; those having done good, unto the resurrection of life; and those having done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment. I am not able to do anything of myself: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the One having sent me. If I testify concerning myself, my testimony is not true. There is another who testifieth concerning me; and you know that the testimony which He testifies concerning me is true. You sent to John, and he witnessed to the truth: but I do not receive the witness with man: but I speak these things that you may be saved. He was a bright and shining light: and you were willing to rejoice for an hour in that light. But I have a testimony greater than that of John: for the works that the Father hath given me that I may perfect them, these works which I do, testify concerning me, that the Father hath sent me. And the Father having sent me, He hath testified concerning me: never have you heard His voice, neither have you seen His face: and you have not His word abiding in you: because you do not believe Him whom He has sent. Search the Scriptures, because in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify concerning me;
