This I say, therefore, and require in the Lord that from now on ye not walk as the other Gentiles walk in the vanity of their own senses, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their heart, who, after losing all sense of feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness to work all uncleanness with greediness.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and injustice of men, who hold back the truth with injustice; because that which is known of God is manifest to them; for God has showed it unto them. because having known God, they did not glorify him as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man and of birds and of fourfooted beasts and of serpents.
