17 Bible Verses about Acceptance, Of Jesus Christ

But to all who did accept Him, and trust in His name, He gave the right to become the children of God,

So, just as you once accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue living in vital union with Him,

I most solemnly say to you, whoever welcomes any messenger I send welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes Him who has sent me."

"Whoever welcomes you welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes Him who sent me.

and whoever welcomes one little child like this for my sake welcomes me.

"Whoever, as a disciple of mine, welcomes one little child like this, welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me, welcomes not merely me but Him who sent me."

Then He said to them, "Whoever welcomes this little child on my account is welcoming me, and whoever welcomes me is welcoming Him who sent me; for the one who is lowliest among you all is really great."

Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever pays no attention to you pays no attention to me, and whoever pays no attention to me pays no attention to Him who sent me."

But Jesus cried aloud, "Whoever believes in me believes not merely in me but in Him who has sent me;

for I have given them the teachings that you gave me, and they have accepted them, and they have come to know in reality that I did come from you, and so they are convinced that you did send me.

and if you are willing to accept it, John himself is the Elijah who was to come.

He said to them, "It is not every man who has the capacity to carry out this saying, but it is for those to whom the capacity has been given. For some are born incapable of marriage, and some have been made so by men, and some have made themselves so for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let him accept it who can."

Whoever does accept His testimony has certified with a seal that God is true. For He whom God has sent continues to speak the words of God, for God continues to give Him the Spirit without measure.

He came into His own world, but His own people did not welcome Him.

I most solemnly say to you, we know what we are talking about and we have seen what we are testifying to, yet you are all rejecting our testimony.

I have come in my Father's name, but you refuse to accept me. If anyone else should come in his own name, you would accept him. How can you believe, you who are always accepting honor from one another, but never seek the honor that comes from the one God?

So many of His disciples, when they heard it, said, "This teaching is hard to take in. Who can listen to it?"
