12 Bible Verses about Advice, Rejecting God's Advice

They soon forgot his works. They didn't wait for his counsel,

because they rebelled against the words of God, and condemned the counsel of the Most High.

"Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

"I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained. You asked, 'Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?' therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I didn't know.

"You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me. Yet you will not come to me, that you may have life.

At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

He came to his own, and those who were his own didn't receive him. But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

since you hate instruction, and throw my words behind you?

Therefore he who rejects this doesn't reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me. Because you have forgotten your God's law, I will also forget your children.
