But as for you, you thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive.
But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, in which were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and thirsty land, where there was no water; who brought you forth water out of the rock of flint; Who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers knew not, that he might humble you, and that he might test you, to do you good in the end;
Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good. For I will set my eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and I will build them, and not pull them down; and I will plant them, and not pluck them up.
Like I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, says the Lord GOD. And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
