Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? will you be altogether unto me as a deceitful brook, and as waters that fail?

And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me. My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are troubled. My soul is also greatly troubled: but you, O LORD, how long?
