And they filled them up to the brim. And he said unto them, Draw out now and bear unto the butler. And they bore it. When the butler had tasted the water that was made wine and knew not where it was from (but the servants who drew the water knew), the butler called the bridegroom and said unto him, Every man at the beginning sets forth the good wine, and when they are well satisfied, then that which is worse; but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of the signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee and manifested forth his glory, and his disciples believed on him.

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

I counsel thee to buy of me gold refined in the fire, that thou may be made rich; and clothed in white raiment, so that the shame of thy nakedness not be uncovered; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou may see.

As the fining pot tries the silver and the furnace the gold; so the man is tried by the mouth of whoever praises him.
