And he said to them: Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath-day, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they were silent. And looking around on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their heart, he said to the man: Stretch forth your hand; and he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored. And the Pharisees immediately went out with the Herodians, and held a consultation against him, that they might destroy him.
And they came into Jerusalem; and Jesus entered the temple, and began to drive out those who sold, and those who bought in the temple; and he overturned the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of those who sold doves.

And when he had made a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, the sheep also, and the oxen, and he poured out the money of the money-changers, and overthrew their tables; and said to those who sold doves: Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise. And his disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for thy house has eaten me up.
