Let no one deceive you by any means; for that day will not come, unless the apostasy come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,
Now the Spirit says expressly, that, in the last times, some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and teachings suggested by demons, through the hypocrisy of liars, who are seared in their conscience, who forbid to marry, and command to abstain from meats, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe, and know the truth.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound teaching, but according to their own desires they will pro cure for themselves an abundance of teachers to gratify their itching ears: and they will turn away their ears from the truth, and be turned to fables.
