the love of many will grow cold.

Let not any one deceive you by any means; for it shall not come till there come an apostasy first, and the man of sin be revealed,

Now the Spirit expressly saith, that in latter times some shall apostatize from the faith, attending to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons founded in the hypocrisy of liars, who are seared in their own conscience, forbidding to marry, and enjoining abstinence from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving by those that believe and know the truth.

For the time will come, when they will not bear sound doctrine; but having itching ears, will heap up to themselves teachers after their own hearts: and turn away their attention from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
