Why, which of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and reckon the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?-- For fear that, if he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish it, every one who sees it should begin to laugh at him, And say 'Here is a man who began to build and was not able to finish!'
The merely intellectual man rejects the teaching of the Spirit of God; for to him it is mere folly; he cannot grasp it, because it is to be understood only by spiritual insight.
Put that Message into practice, and do not merely listen to it--deceiving yourselves. For, when any one listens to it and does not practice it, he is like a man looking at his own face in a mirror. He looks at himself, then goes on his way,
