For all flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of the grass; the grass has withered, and its flower fell off; but the word of the Lord continues forever. And this is the word preached to you.
But let the brother that is humble rejoice in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, for he shall pass away like a flower of the grass. For the sun rose hot, and withered the grass, and its flower fell off, and the beauty of its appearance perished; so also shall the rich man perish in his ways.
Consider the lilies; how they neither spin nor weave; but I tell you that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of them. And if God so clothes the grass in the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, men of little faith?
And why are you anxious concerning clothing?
