And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them the things in all the scriptures, concerning himself.

But he answering said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Ye have heard, that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt do no murder, and whosoever doth murder, shall be liable to the judgment.

But he said to them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him? How he entered into the house of God, and ate the shew-bread, which it was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them who were with him, but only for the priests? Or have ye not read in the law, that on the sabbath-days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath and are blameless?read more.
But I say to you, That one greater than the temple is here. And if ye had known what that meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

For in the resurrection, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. But touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac,read more.

For the seven had her to wife. And Jesus answering said to them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels who are in heaven.
