And he bore me away into the wilderness in the Spirit. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, [the beast] full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.

And there appeared another symbol in heaven, and behold, a great fiery dragon, having seven heads and ten horns and upon his heads seven diadems,

And almost all things, according to the law, are purified with blood, and without the pouring out of blood there is no forgiveness. It was necessary, therefore, that the symbols of things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
