Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to Him: We ask you, brothers,

not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Therefore, when you come together, it is not really to eat the Lord’s Supper.

Now in giving the following instruction I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better but for the worse. For to begin with, I hear that when you come together as a church there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it.

If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you gather together you will not come under judgment. And I will give instructions about the other matters whenever I come.

What then is the conclusion, brothers? Whenever you come together, each one has a psalm, a teaching, a revelation, another language, or an interpretation. All things must be done for edification.

Raise your eyes and look around:
they all gather and come to you;
your sons will come from far away,
and your daughters will be carried on the hip.

In addition, a large group came together from the towns surrounding Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there among them.”
