And David said, "The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine." And Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you!"

And as soon as the boy had gone, David rose from beside the stone heap and fell on his face to the ground and bowed three times. So Absalom fled and went to Geshur, and was there three years. And the spirit of the king longed to go out to Absalom, because he was comforted about Amnon, since he was dead.

And David said, "Is there still anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?"

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.
