8 Bible Verses about Death Is Final

As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away, So he that goeth down to Sheol shall come up no more.

They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all remembrance of them to perish.

So man lieth down and riseth not: Till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, Nor be roused out of their sleep.

For when a few years are come, I shall go the way whence I shall not return.

If a man die, shall he live again ? All the days of my warfare would I wait, Till my release should come.

And having cried out, and torn him much, he came out: and the boy became as one dead; insomuch that the more part said, He is dead.

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are clean cut off.

Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, And the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, And put forth boughs like a plant.
