And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject to us thro' thy name. And he said to them, I beheld Satan falling as lightning from heaven.

(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man: for many times it had caught him, and he had been kept bound with chains and fetters, and breaking the bands asunder, he had been driven by the spirit into the deserts.)

(For he had said to him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.) And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered saying, My name is Legion; for we are many.

And having called to him his twelve disciples, he gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal every disease and every malady.

But the Pharisees hearing it said, This fellow casteth not out devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not be established. And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself: how then shall his kingdom stand?read more.
And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if it be by the Spirit of God that I cast out devils, then the kingdom of God is come upon you. How can one enter into the strong one's house, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong one? And then he will plunder his house. He that is not with me is against me, and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth.
