And it came to pass, as he was reclining at table in the house, lo! many publicans and sinners came and reclined with Jesus and his disciples. And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why doth your teacher eat with the publicans and sinners? But when he heard that, he said, They who are well do not need a physician, but they who are sick.

And a convenient day having come, when Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles and chief captains and the principal men of Galilee,

And Levi made a great feast for him at his house, and there was a great company of publicans and others, who were reclining at table with them.

And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear it to the master of the feast. And they bore it.

So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barleyloaves, which remained over and above to those that had eaten.

But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us, for it is towards evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in to stay with them.

They made therefore a supper for him there, and Martha served; but Lazarus was one of those who reclined at the table with him.
