They did not keep God's covenant, but refused to walk according to his law.

For Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the LORD, defying his glorious presence.

and if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will relent of the good that I had intended to do to it.

and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way that I am commanding you today, to go after other gods that you have not known.

"But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.

and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. All Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, refusing to obey your voice. And the curse and oath that are written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because we have sinned against him.

But if you will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then the hand of the LORD will be against you and your king.

But if any nation will not listen, then I will utterly pluck it up and destroy it, declares the LORD."

And the LORD says: "Because they have forsaken my law that I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice or walked in accord with it,
