Knowing this first, that scoffers will come in the last days, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for from the time the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as at the beginning of the creation. But this willfully escapes them, that, by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth subsisting from the water, and by water:

But we, according to his promise, expect new heavens, and a new earth, in which dwells righteousness.

And I saw a new heaven, and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth were passed away: and the sea was no more.

Now the end of all things has approached; be, therefore, sober, and watch to prayer.

And I saw another great and wonderful sign in heaven; seven angels, who had the seven last plagues; because in them the wrath of God was to be completed.
