1 Corinthians 11:27-31

Hence anyone who eats the bread or drinks from the Lord's cup in a way that is unworthy of it will be guilty of profaning the body and the blood of the Lord. A man should examine himself, and only when he has done so should he eat any of the bread or drink from the cup.
