And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stone and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup, full of abominations and filthiness of her fornification: And on her forehead a name written, Mystery; Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots, and abominations of the earth. And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And when I saw, I wondered exceedingly. And the angel said to me, Wherefore didst thou wonder? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the wild beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and the ten horns.

The wild beast which thou sawest, was, and is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth, (whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world) shall wonder when they behold the wild beast, that he was, and is not, and yet will be. Here is the mind that hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sitteth, And they are seven kings: five are fallen: one is, the other is not yet come; when he cometh, he must continue a short space.read more.

I charge thee therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the quick and dead at his appearing and his kingdom, Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching.
