The point is this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will multiply the harvest of your righteousness. The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to receive his share of the crops.

But they made light of it and went off, one to his own farm, another to his business.

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receives the early and late rains.
