And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they might find a reason to accuse him.
And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"--so that they might accuse him.
And he said to them, "Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?" But they were silent.
And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, "This man is blaspheming."
"Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying, "Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?"
And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?"

And the Pharisees and their scribes grumbled at his disciples, saying, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?"
"Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat."
And the Pharisees and the scribes asked him, "Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with defiled hands?"

At last two came forward and said, "This man said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to rebuild it in three days.'"
