say, 'We piped to you, and ye did not dance; we wailed, and ye did not lament.'

They are like children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, who say, 'We piped to you, and ye did not dance; we wailed, and ye did not weep.'

And the voice of harpers and musicians, and flute-players and trumpeters shall in nowise be heard in you any more. And no craftsman of whatever craft shall in any wise be found in you any more; and no sound of a millstone shall ever be heard in you any more;

Even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, if they give no distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
