And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.
thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field.
Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.
And out of the ground the LORD God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden,
And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden,
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.
And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.
As for the earth, out of it comes bread, but underneath it is turned up as by fire.
"Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.
to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean and between the living creature that may be eaten and the living creature that may not be eaten.
"However, you may slaughter and eat meat within any of your towns, as much as you desire, according to the blessing of the LORD your God that he has given you. The unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle and as of the deer. Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it out on the earth like water.
"When the LORD your God enlarges your territory, as he has promised you, and you say, 'I will eat meat,' because you crave meat, you may eat meat whenever you desire.
And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing."
One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables.
