God said to Jacob, "Arise, go up to Bethel, and live there. Make there an altar to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother."

He built an altar there, and called the place El Beth El; because there God was revealed to him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let those who are in the midst of her depart. Let those who are in the country not enter therein. He doesn't believe that he shall return out of darkness. He is waited for by the sword.

They brought water to him who was thirsty. The inhabitants of the land of Tema met the fugitives with their bread.

You shall not deliver to his master a servant who is escaped from his master to you:

Give counsel. Execute justice. Make your shade like the night in the midst of the noonday. Hide the outcasts. Do not betray the fugitive. Let my outcasts dwell with you. As for Moab, be a hiding place for him from the face of the destroyer. For the extortioner is brought to nothing. Destruction ceases. The oppressors are consumed out of the land.
