And the Scripture, anticipating God's justification of the Gentiles by faith, announced the gospel to Abraham beforehand in the words, In thee shall all the Gentiles be blessed. So then they who are children of faith are blessed with Abraham the faithful;
"Because my eyes had seen the salvation, "Which thou hast prepared before the face of all peoples; "A light for the unveiling of the Gentiles And the glory of thy people Israel."
Behold my servant whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom my soul delights; I will breathe my spirit upon him, and he shall announce justice to the Gentiles. He will not strive nor cry aloud, Nor shall anyone hear is voice in the streets. The bruised reed will not break; The dimly burning wick will not quench; Till he has led justice on to victory.read more.
And in his name shall the Gentiles hope.
But what if God, while intending to show forth his wrath, and to make known his power, yet endured, with much long-suffering, vessels of wrath, fitted to destruction? And what if he thus purposed to make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared for glory? and so that the Gentiles also should praise God for his mercy, as it is written, Therefore I will offer praise to thee among the Gentiles, And sing to thy name. Or again, Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people. Or again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles, And let all the people extol him.read more.
Or again, as Isaiah says. There shall be the root of Jesse, And he that arises to rule over the Gentiles; On him shall the Gentiles hope.
