10 Bible Verses about God Appointing His Son

When he had entered the Temple courts, and was teaching, the high priests and elders of the people came to him and asked him, "By what authority are you doing these things, and who gave you this authority?"

"By what authority do you do these things? or who gave you this authority to do these things?"

They spoke to him saying. "Tell us by what authority you are doing these things? Who is it that gave you this authority?"

"The Father indeed does not judge any one, but has given all judgment to the Son,

"when he charged us to preach to the people, and to testify that this was he whom God ordained to be the judge of the living and of the dead.

"Labor not for food which perishes, but for the food that endures eternal life??hat which the Son of man will give you; for on the Father??od??as set his seal."

How faithful he was to the God who appointed him! For while Moses also was faithful in all God's house,

while God himself pronounced him High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek.

Again no one takes this honorable office for himself, but he is called by God, just as Aaron was.

inasmuch as he has fixed a day in which he will judge the world justly, by the Man whom he has ordained, and he has given proof of all this by raising him from the dead."
