The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and expanded them; he that spread forth the earth, and that which it produceth; he that giveth breath to the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein.

All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

Thus saith the Lord GOD to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

If he should set his heart upon man, if he should gather to himself his spirit and his breath; All flesh would perish together, and man would turn again to dust.
