5 Bible Verses about Heresy

I know thy works and thy labour and thy patience and how thou canst not bear those who are evil; and thou hast tried those who say they are apostles and are not and hast found them liars,

forasmuch as we have heard that certain ones who went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised and keep the law, to whom we gave no such commandment,

for there is not another; but there are some that trouble you and would pervert the gospel of the Christ.

Therefore if anyone comes preaching another Jesus whom we have not preached or if ye receive another spirit from that which ye have received or another gospel from that which ye have accepted, ye bear well with it.

And that in spite of the false brethren, who entered secretly to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus that they might bring us into bondage;

A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, reject him, knowing that he that is such is subverted and sins, being condemned of his own judgment.

If anyone comes unto you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house neither say unto him, Welcome: For he that says unto him, Welcome, is partaker of his evil deeds.

and brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city and teach rites which are not lawful for us to receive neither to observe, being Romans.

And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely,

neither can they prove the things of which they now accuse me. But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call a sect, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets, and have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. read more.
And for this reason do I exercise myself to have always a conscience void of offense toward God and toward men.
