But now, Christ has risen from the dead, the first-fruits of those who slept. For, since through man came death, through man comes also the resurrection of the dead. For, as in Adam all die, so, also, in Christ shall all be made alive:read more.
but each in his own order; Christ the first-fruit, afterward, those who are Christ's at his coming.

But concerning those who have fallen asleep, I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that you may not grieve, as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also should we believe that God will, through Jesus, bring with him those who sleep. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we, the living, who remain till the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who are asleepread more.
for the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall arise first; then we, the living who remain, shall, together with them, be caught up in clouds into the air to meet the Lord, and so shall we be ever with the Lord.

And I will give to my two witnesses, that they may prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These have authority to shut heaven, that it may not rain in the days of their prophecy; and they have authority over the waters, to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with every plague, as often as they wish. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which, spiritually, is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And some of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will see their dead bodies three days and a half, and will not suffer their dead bodies to be put into sepulchers. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, and make merry, and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwelt on the earth. And after the three days and a half, the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood- upon their feet; and great fear fell upon those who saw them.

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and the power of judging was given to them; and I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God; and of those who had not worshiped the beast, nor his image, and had not received his mark on their forehead, nor on their hand: and they lived and reigned with Christ a thou sand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not till the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.
