They said this to try him, that they might have something of which to accuse him. But Jesus, stooping down, wrote with his finger on the ground. But they hearing, and being convicted by their consciences, went out, one by one, beginning with the oldest, even to the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. And Jesus rising up and seeing no one but the woman, said to her, Woman, where are those your accusers? Has no man condemned you? And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn you; go, and sin no more.
