Now we charge you, brethren, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which they received of us. For ye yourselves know how ye ought to imitate us; for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you, neither did we eat any mans bread for nought, but were working with labor and travail night and day, that we might not be burdensome to any of you.read more.
Not because we have not authority, but to make ourselves an example to you, that ye should imitate us. For also when we were with you, this we commanded you: If any one will not work, neither let him eat. For we hear of some who walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now such we charge and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But ye, brethren, be not weary in welldoing. And if any one obey not our word by this epistle, mark that man; and keep no company with him, that he may be shamed; yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

1 Timothy 5:13

and withal they learn to be idle, going about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also, and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

But we earnestly desire that every one of you may show the same diligence with regard to the full assurance of your hope even to the end; that ye may not become slothful, but imitators of those who through faith and endurance inherit the promises.
