22 Bible Verses about Individual Prophets

There has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,

The LORD said to Moses, "Behold, I have made you as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.

It happened, when all who knew him before saw that, behold, he prophesied with the prophets, then the people said one to another, "What is this that has come to the son of Kish? Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.

And suddenly two men were talking with him, who were Moses and Elijah,

Some of them who stood there, when they heard it, said, "This man is calling Elijah."

Some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, "Look, he is calling for Elijah."

The rest said, "Let him be. Let us see whether Elijah comes to save him."

One ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, "Let him be. Let us see whether Elijah comes to take him down."

He said to him, "I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying, 'Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.'" He lied to him.

Those who dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and they will be glad. They will give gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
