Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; because I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest for your souls;
Now I, Paul, myself entreat you, through the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in your presence, indeed, am lowly among you; but, being absent, am bold toward you;
"Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your King is coming to you, meek and mounted upon an ass, and on a colt, a foal of a beast of burden.'"
but emptied Himself, taking a slave's form, coming to be in the likeness of men;
Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and, as a lamb dumb before its shearer, so He openeth not His mouth.
He will not strive, nor cry aloud; nor will any one hear His voice in the streets:
And, while He was being accused by the high priests and elders, He answered nothing. Then says Pilate to Him, "Hearest Thou not how many things they testify against Thee?" And He did not answer him, not even to one word; so that the governor greatly wondered.
For who is greater, he who reclines at table, or he who serves? Is not he who reclines? But I am in the midst of you as One Who serveth.
And Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do!" And, dividing His garments among them, they cast lots.
Then He poureth water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

looking away to the Author and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus; Who, in consideration of the joy lying before Him, endured the cross, despising shame, and hath taken a seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
Who, when reviled, reviled not again; when suffering, was not threatening, but committed Himself to Him Who judgeth righteously;
On the morrow he sees Jesus coming to him, and he says, "Behold, the Lamb of God Who taketh away the sin of the world!
