And these things we write to you, that your joy may be full. And this is the message which we have heard from him, and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants what must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel to his servant John; who bore witness of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ,of whatever he saw. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things written therein; for the time is at hand.

And he saith to me, Write, Blessed are they who are called to the marriagesupper of the Lamb. And he saith to me, These are the true words of God. And I fell at his feet to worship him; and he saith to me, See thou do it not; I am a fellowservant of thee, and of thy brethren who maintain the testimony to Jesus; worship God. For the testimony to Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

And he said unto me, These words are faithful and true; and the Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to show to his servants what must shortly come to pass. And behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book. And I John am he who heard and saw these things; and when I had heard and when I had seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

I was in the Spirit on the Lords day; and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, saying: What thou seest, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamus, and to Thyatira, and to Sardes, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead; and he laid his right hand on me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last, and he that liveth; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore; and I have the keys of death and the underworld.
