And He answered him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only One who is perfectly good. But if you want to get into that life, you must practice keeping the commandments." He asked Him, "What sort of commandments?" Jesus answered, "You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not lie, You must practice honoring your father and mother. And you must love your neighbor as you do yourself."

But some members of the Pharisaic party, who had become believers, arose and said that such converts must be circumcised and told to keep the law of Moses.

Take them along with you, purify yourself with them, and bear the expense for them of having their heads shaved. Then everybody will know that none of those things they have been told about you are so, but that you yourself are living as a constant observer of the law.

Being circumcised or not being circumcised has no value, but keeping God's commands is important.

But He said, "Yes, but better still, blessed are those who listen to God's message and practice it!"

to keep His command stainless and irreproachable until the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ,

For love to God means this, to practice obedience to His commands, and His commands are not burdensome,

Keep on obeying this message; do not merely listen to it, and so deceive yourselves.
