Know ye not, that he who is connected with a harlot is one body with her? "For the two," saith he, "shall become one flesh;"

In like manner husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his own wife loveth himself; for no one ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as Christ doth the church;

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this manner. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.

Defraud not one another, except by agreement for a time, that ye may have a season for prayer; and be together again, that Satan may not tempt you through your incontinence.

Know ye not, that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a harlot? God forbid! Know ye not, that he who is connected with a harlot is one body with her? "For the two," saith he, "shall become one flesh;"

For this cause God gave them up to vile passions. The wife hath not the disposal of her own body, but her husband; and so also the husband hath not the disposal of his own body, but his wife.
