After these things there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

But, it being now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple, and was teaching.

Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven; and, when this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were greatly surprised, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. And they were amazed, and wondered, saying, "Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galilaeans?read more.
And how do we hear, each in our own language in which we were born; Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, in Judaea, and also Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Lybia about Cyrene, and sojourners from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans, and Arabians??e hear them speaking in our own languages the wonderful works of God?"

These all died according to faith, not having obtained the promises, but having seen them from afar, and having greeted them, and having confessed that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth. For those who say such things make it manifest that they are seeking their paternal home. And, if, indeed, they had been mindful of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return.read more.
