For he satisfies the soul that is destitute and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away.
In the fallow ground of the poor there is much bread, but it is lost for lack of judgment.
And when they did measure it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered each one according to his eating.

So she went from him and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her, and she poured out the oil. And when the vessels were full, she said unto her son, Bring me yet another vessel. And he said unto her, There are no more vessels. Then the oil stopped flowing.
He that gives unto the poor shall never lack, but he that hides his eyes from the poor shall have many a curse.
Neither was there any among them that lacked, for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them and brought the prices of the things that were sold
but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want that their abundance also may be a supply for your want, that there may be equality:
and one of you says unto them, Depart in peace; be ye warmed and filled; but ye do not give them those things which are needful for the body; what shall it profit them?
