They got their gifts ready for Joseph's arrival at noon, for they had heard that they were to have a meal there.

Now on the first day of the feast of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and said, "Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?" He said, "Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, 'The Teacher says, "My time is near. I will observe the Passover with my disciples at your house."'" Now when evening had already come, since it was the day of preparation (that is, the day before the Sabbath),
