Hear another parable, There was a certain man, a master of a family, that planted a vineyard, and made a fence about it, and put a wine-press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and travelled abroad. And when the fruit-season drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, to receive the fruits of it: and the husbandmen took his servants and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.read more.
And he sent again other servants more than the first: and they did the like to them. At last he sent unto them his Son, saying, They will reverence my Son. But when the husbandmen saw the Son, they said among themselves, This is the heir, come, let us kill him, and seize on his inheritance: so they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and slew him. When therefore the lord of the vineyard cometh, what will he do to those husbandmen? They answer, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out the vineyard to other husbandmen, who will render him the fruits in their seasons. Then saith Jesus to them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, "The stone which the builders refused, is made the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?" Therefore I tell you, that the kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation, that will bring forth the fruits thereof.

And we bring you good tidings, that the promise made unto the fathers God hath fulfilled unto us their children, having raised up Jesus again: as it is also written in the second psalm, "Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee." And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to the place of corruption, He hath said thus, "I will give you the sure mercies of David."read more.
Wherefore he saith also in another place, Thou wilt not suffer thine holy One to see corruption. Now David having served his own generation according to the will of God, fell asleep, and was laid with his fathers, and saw corruption: but He whom God raised, did not see corruption. Be it known therefore unto you, brethren, that through Him is preached unto you the remission of sins: and by Him every one that believeth is justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Beware therefore, least what is spoken in the prophets come upon you, "Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and vanish; for I do a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though any one should declare it unto you." As they went out of the synagogue of the Jews, the Gentiles desired that these words might be spoken to them on the following sabbath. And when the synagogue was broken up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who addressing themselves to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. And on the next sabbath almost all the city came together to hear the word of God. But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and contradicted the things which were spoken by Paul, opposing and reviling him. Then Paul and Barnabas boldly said, It was necessary that the word of God should be first spoken to you; but since ye reject it, and judge not yourselves worthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles: for so the Lord hath commanded us, saying, "I have appointed thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation to the utmost part of the earth." And when the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were determined for eternal life believed.

Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted themselves to the righteousness which is of God.read more.
For Christ is the end of the law, for righteousness to every believer. For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, "That the man who doth those things shall live by them." But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh thus, "Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven, (that is, to bring Christ down) or, who shall descend into the deep, (that is, to bring up Christ from the dead)" but what saith it? "The word is nigh thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart." This is the word of faith which we preach: that if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart, that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him, shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference of Jew and Greek: for He being Lord of all is bountiful to all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. But how shall they call upon him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe on him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? and how shall they preach unless they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good tidings of peace, who bring the good tidings of good things? But all have not obeyed the gospel: for Esaias saith, "Lord, who hath believed our report?" So that faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Verily their sound is gone out into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world. But I say again, Did not Israel know this? when first Moses saith, "I will move you to jealousy by those who are not a people, I will provoke you to anger by a foolish nation:" and Esaias positively affirms, "I was found of them that sought me not, I was made manifest to them that asked not after me:" and saith to Israel, "All the day long have I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and gainsaying people."

And besides, there is a great gulf fixed between us and you; so that they, who would pass from hence to you, cannot; nor can they pass to us, who would come from thence.

And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged by the things written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every one according to their works.read more.
And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life everlasting.
