7 Bible Verses about Requesting Food

Give us this day the bread for our support.

Give us, day by day, the bread sufficient for our support;

What man is there of you, of whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? And if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

If a son ask bread of any one of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he, instead of a fish, give him a serpent? Or if he ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion?

There came a woman of Samaria to draw water. And Jesus said to her: Give me to drink. For his disciples had gone into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to him: How is it that you, who are a Jew, ask drink of me, who am a woman of Samaria? (For the Jews have no social intercourse with the Samaritans.)

And he said to them: Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight, and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves;

And while they did not believe as yet for joy, and were astonished, he said to them: Have you any thing here to eat?
