10 Bible Verses about Restored Joy

Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Restore us, O God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved!

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

to grant to those who mourn in Zion-- to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.

Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving, and the voices of those who celebrate. I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will make them honored, and they shall not be small.

Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.

And there I will give her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. And there she shall answer as in the days of her youth, as at the time when she came out of the land of Egypt.

Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy.

Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice.

But I am afflicted and in pain; let your salvation, O God, set me on high!
