On their return the apostles told him all that they had done. And he took them and withdrew apart to a town called Bethsaida.
And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed,
Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.
Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent.
even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.
"Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from before your birth, carried from the womb; even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.
