Now to the king eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Though the nations were incensed, yet thy wrath came, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to all who fear thy name, to the small and to the great; and to destroy those who have destroyed the earth.
Who should not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? because thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee, because thy righteous judgments are made evident.

But I say to you my friends, Be not afraid of those who may kill the body, but after that, have nothing farther which they can do. But I will point out to you, whom ye should fear: Fear him, who, after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him!
But if ye should even suffer for righteousness, blessed are ye: be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled, but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be always ready with your reply to every man who demands a reason respecting the hope which is in you with meekness and fear:
